Good food and wine are one of the most important parts of any great holiday, and we are passionate about cooking and plating-up rich, delicious food that you will remember long after your holiday is over.
For this reason, only professional chefs are ever employed with a wealth of experience in restaurant kitchens, to ensure guests are provided with only the best gourmet cuisine.
A week’s holiday consists of six fully-catered days including breakfast, afternoon tea and a 4-course dinner. The chalet staff have one day off so that you get the opportunity to sample the local cuisine in the village.
Breakfast is plentiful, with a choice of cereals, croissants and breads, fruit, porridge and a cooked option every day. Afternoon tea is a tradition not to be missed after a long day on the slopes, and you won’t be disappointed with the freshly baked cake and a selection of teas and filter coffee waiting on the table for your arrival. On colder days expect the well-deserved addition of home-made mulled wine!
Dinners are sumptuous 4-course affairs, using fresh, seasonal ingredients. The professional chefs will prepare a wide-variety of different dishes throughout the week, from hearty, local Savoyarde fayre, to a range of courses catering to the more sophisticated palate. After pudding, a platter of regional French cheeses are offered for anyone not yet full-up by the previous, delicious three courses. And on selected evenings you can expect canapés and amuse-bouche added to the menu for good measure. Trust us, food is important here!
And what dinner would be complete without wine? So we offer unlimited red and white wine at dinner – all hand-selected by the owners from a local wine merchant to ensure the perfect complement to your evening’s dinner.
