Chamonix is set in a valley amongst spectacular peaks, including the backdrop of Europe's highest mountain, the awesome Mont Blanc at 4808m. A fascinating and traditional ski resort, the cosmopolitan town centre offers a good range of attractions including a wealth of shops, bars and restaurants. The Chamonix valley offers some of the best skiing and accommodation in the Alps. The villages of Les Houches, Les Bossons, Les Praz and Argentiere within the valley are serviced by an efficient free bus service (with your lift pass).
